2009 Bison’s for Christ

Day of Service

Thank you for your prayers and hard work in support of Bisons for Christ Day of Service. We appreciate those who cooked, brought supplies and brownies, worked in the kitchen and helped with numerous projects. We had approximately 2,000 students participate in over 150 projects throughout Searcy and White County. Many lives were touched in the name of Christ through these projects. There were tears and smiles as people were overwhelmed by the kindness of our students.  Many students cleaned, cleared debris, cleaned up neglected lots and sweated for the Lord. Others made a difference in children’s lives by playing with them, teaching sports techniques or working with them on an essay. These are a few of the many acts of kindness, and many more we may never know.

One day history will come to a close, but eternity will go on forever. William Carey said, “The future is as bright as the promises of God.” I think we saw a glimpse of that yesterday.

In an event of this magnitude, there were things that went very well and others that gave us opportunities to improve and evaluate.
